Ten Reasons to choose CML 1) Professional Staff Our staff are carefully screened before being employed.
All staff are security cleared by the Edmonton Police Service or the
Royal Canadian Mounted Police. The majority of operators employed by
Consolidated have multiple years of experience in the business of alarm
monitoring.
Consolidated uses the very latest equipment to receive
signals from customers alarm systems, allowing multiple formats, higher
speed reporting and call display. Facilities exist
for the monitoring of dedicated and wireless alarm systems as well as
cellular systems. Consolidated also uses a professional Security Information
Management System software program to monitor alarms.
3) Operator Expertise All monitoring station staff receive several weeks
of training before being allowed to handle alarms on their own. New operators
are closely monitored for a period of 6 months and received on-going training
for the next 2 to 3 years. Senior operators with more experience train
new operations staff on use of various alarm systems, detection of and
trouble shooting of network faults, improved utilization of computer resources
and advanced False Alarm reduction techniques.
4) Reduced Costs Daily reporting of false alarms, faults, mechanical problems
and malfunctions to your alarm servicing company improves the reliability
of your alarm system, and reduces and prevents costly false alarms.
5) Technical Support Consolidated offers technical support to all alarm companies
and their customers. Instead of waking a technician up at 2:00 in the
morning, our dedicated resourceful staff can resolve most minor problems
over the phone. Advanced technical support is available from management
for alarm companies, including programming work sheets and transmission
format information.
6) 100% Redundancy The monitoring station has been designed to Underwriters'
Laboratories of Canada Standards and has been constructed to withstand
virtually any form of disaster and/or attack. All electronic receiving
equipment, computers and standby power supply equipment has a redundant
back up unit. All technical equipment is supported and maintained by in
house personnel 24 hours a day. As well, all vital information is backed
up and stored many times each day.

world's leading station automation software companies ensures that all
alarm events are processed accurately and efficiently without delay. Voice
recorders, call logging and computer data tracking systems enable performance
to be monitored and improved.
8) Remote Monitoring Consolidated Monitoring uses the Internet to help keep
costs low. Monitor substations transfer information via the Internet with
multiple connections using cable, DSL, and/or dial-up. This limits long
distance charges, helping you to remain competitive.
9) Privately Owned and Operated Consolidated Monitoring is 100% privately owned and operated.
It has no business interests in other parts of the country or the world,
allowing it to operate autonomously of "corporate head offices".
This allows Consolidated to keep on top of changing technology, and the
evolving needs of our clients.
10) Integrity Consolidated Monitoring is one of a handful of monitoring
stations in Edmonton to have ULC listing. Consolidated is a member of
the Canadian Alarm and Security Association. We are actively involved
in developing and maintaining standards on both a local and national level
for the alarm industry.
